Requirements

Requirements for Program Entry:

In order to qualify for this program, resident candidates must :

1. Be recommended by a Director and/or Case Manager of a short term program that they have successfully completed
2. Have six months of sobriety from drugs and/or alcohol
3. Be motivated to making a permanent transition to self-sufficient living.
4. Be an adult woman at least 21 years old
5. Be employed at the time of establishing residence at Bethany

Graduation Requirements:

Graduation requirements are slightly different for each woman, and are mutually agreed upon between the case manager and resident. Basic requirements often include:

1. Attend twice-weekly life skill group classes and weekly case management meetings
2. Follow all house rules
3. Remain alcohol and drug free
4. Maintain stable employment
5. Secure permanent or improved employment                                           
6. Accumulate at least $2,000 in savings
7. Attend scheduled therapy sessions to address core issue
8. Receive a Well Woman’s check up and all required testing (pap smear, mammogram, etc.)           
9. Obtain credit report                                                              
10. Address debts (as planned with Case Manager)                                    
11. Obtain bank checking account                               
12. Take classes to improve employment (i.e., computer classes) if needed
13. Secure permanent housing (final step)
