Requirements
Requirements for Program Entry:
In order to qualify for this program, resident candidates must :
- Be recommended by a Director and/or Case Manager of a short term program that they have successfully completed
- Have six months of sobriety from drugs and/or alcohol
- Be motivated to making a permanent transition to self-sufficient living.
- Be an adult woman at least 21 years old
- Be employed at the time of establishing residence at Bethany
Graduation Requirements:
Graduation requirements are slightly different for each woman, and are mutually agreed upon between the case manager and resident. Basic requirements often include:
- Attend twice-weekly life skill group classes and weekly case management meetings
- Follow all house rules
- Remain alcohol and drug free
- Maintain stable employment
- Secure permanent or improved employment
- Accumulate at least $2,000 in savings
- Attend scheduled therapy sessions to address core issue
- Receive a Well Woman’s check up and all required testing (pap smear, mammogram, etc.)
- Obtain credit report
- Address debts (as planned with Case Manager)
- Obtain bank checking account
- Take classes to improve employment (i.e., computer classes) if needed
- Secure permanent housing (final step)
